Travel update!

Logan had to stay back to take care of some things, so our dear friend Miguel Cambray, to whom we owe much gratitude, is riding down with Mike on this adventure and what an adventure it has been! They couldn't go through the Laredo border because of the box truck. Border officials said it is a commercial vehicle, even though it isn't,so it couldn't go through. So they headed to another one, Los Indios near Harlingen. They will get through this one but not until the paperwork is done which won't be until Monday maybe Tuesday. They found out that they can't take any of us girls clothes across the border, so the truck had to be unloaded and those taken out. They will be shipped back to KC to Ashlie and she and Austin are bringing what they can on the plane with them. They arrive July 3. So it has been quite stressful for the two of them! We are hoping they will get here Thursday or Friday! Please keep them in your prayers!

Happy day!

Mike got the title in the mail today!! Yay we are so happy! He and Logan are hitting the road at 4:30 am Tuesday morning! We can't wait for them to get here! There is a brother that lives close to the Guatemala/Mexico border that is going to meet them there to help them get through that border. What a wonderful brotherhood we are a part of! Tomorrow night at 6:30 will be our first meeting here! We are looking forward to getting into our spiritual routine!

We made it!!

Ok.Here goes my first blog, so bear with me! We arrived safe and sound Tuesday late afternoon. The Welkers were in awe! Jaws on the ground! It was fun to watch their reaction! We stopped at the McComas' house. Liz was there and Rachel and Jill (these are sisters from our new cong.)met us there to get us to our apt and the Welkers to their new home. They were all happy to see us! We stopped by our temporary residence to drop off our stuff and then went to the Welkers new home. It is beautiful and in a quiet part of town! Went to dinner at Chef Alex. Very cheap and very good! Tuesday morning we went to Guajimbos for brunch. It is a restaurant owned by a brother. There they allow the brothers to set up their literature table. We saw some of the friends while we were there so we introduced the Welkers to them. After that we walked around and showed the Welkers around town a little bit. The friends here are having their one day assembly this weekend so no meetings this week. The weather here has been beautiful! Upper 60's and sunny! It poured down last night for a few minutes and that was it. Today same thing! We are all very tired but trying to rest up! Mike and Logan are still in KC waiting for the title for the box truck. They are so ready to get on the road! We are anxious for them to get here! Please keep them in your prayers for a safe journey!
